SA vs BAN Match Preview
South Africa should have some idea about this pitch as they already have played here against The hosts England and lost it quite badly.
For South Africa, there was so much focus on the opening match of the World Cup in the lead-up to it, they might be forgiven for having to double-check the schedule to confirm who their opponents in their second match would be.
The South Africans themselves sought to downplay the significance of that occasion, but having been outplayed in all departments by the hosts, they really do need to get moving now. That opening salvo at The Oval will add to South Africa’s familiarity with their surroundings, calming the nervous energy that would have been inevitable in a tournament opener, and they have a chance to redeem themselves.
While their bowling is packed with powerful options, South Africa’s batting slide on Thursday emphasised just how much they rely on a few members of their top order, and Quinton de Kock more than anyone. De Kock top-scored for his team with 68 on Thursday.
Rassie Van Der Dussen’s Inning of 50 runs against England given nothing but hope for Africa and Seeing his class and temperament to play in difficult conditions South Africa Management will be more than happy with him.
Their team consists of Good pacers, handy spinners and world’s top-ranked all-rounder (Shakib-Al-Hassan). They will be looking up to the task as gettable one and if they manage to beat the Proteas it will be a big boost for them at the start of the tournament.

Bangladesh has been a team who were tagged as giant killers, they beat India in 2007 world cup & then they beat England in 2015 world cup and ended their journey but things are different now and if they beat Africa on Sunday it can’t be tagged as upset.
Bangladesh has rapidly been taking steps and has grown a lot as a team, their seniors know their roles and their youngsters have started to do well outside the country.

Bangladesh had a couple of injury concerns ahead of their first game, with injuries to Tamim Iqbal (wrist), Mashrafe Mortaza (hamstring), Mustafizur (calf) and Saifuddin (back), while Shakib Al Hasan has recently recovered from back spasm. Tamim had a lengthy net session on the eve of the match, but he didn’t look too comfortable on the drive, taking his hand off the bat as he played the shot. But even if he isn’t 100%, Tamim might play.
South Africa could make a couple of changes to their side with Chris Morris likely to replace Dwaine Pretorious to add more pace and aggression to the attack. David Miller, surprisingly left out of the first match, might come in for Hashim Amla who is recovering from the concussion he suffered against England when Jofra Archer hit him in the helmet. A decision on Amla will be made before the toss.
